Confidence works like compound interest

Confidence works like compound interest

Are you searching for confidence?

Stop looking for it.

These are my 3️⃣ tidbits on compounding confidence in your life:

1. Don’t wait

You don’t wait to “feel confident” to start. Otherwise you will be waiting to infinity.

Most people get it backwards:

❌ “I’ll act when I feel confident.”

✔ Truth: Confidence comes after you act. Consistently.

Confidence isn’t a prerequisite - it’s a consequence of taking consistent action.

2. Consistent actions

Small, consistent actions today create compounding confidence, much like interest compounding in a bank account.

  • Interest grows money

  • Consistent actions grows confidence

As the ATO’s spokesperson, every interview I did was compounding my confidence in public speaking, something I never thought I would be confident at.

3. The Secret Formula

It’s simple, take action. If there’s still inertia, take a tinier action. And then repeat the dose again.

Confidence is an inside job…

Only you, can compound it for you.

Your challenge this week:

  • Speak up in that meeting and share that idea.

  • Apply for the role you think you aren’t qualified for.

  • Have the conversation you’ve been avoiding with that important someone.
